What is coaching?
Coaching is the practice of supporting an individual, referred to as a coachee or client, through the process of achieving a specific personal or professional result.
What is the role of a coach?
Think of your coach as a catalyst. Through carefully structured questioning, the coach will help you realise your potential by challenging your thought patterns. Using specific techniques, the coach will then assist you in making long lasting transformations.
How & where is it done?
Thanks to modern technology, georgraphy is not a constraint! Coaching sessions can be done face to face, or over the phone. The results will be just as spectacular!
We will together set the frequency of our sessions – typically coaching sessions are held once a week. Each session lasts about one hour. As we progress through our coaching relationship, the frequency will reduce as you become more reliant on your ownself!
How is it different to Mentoring?
A mentor is a relative expert in a field similar to yours. A mentor will guide you by passing their experience and knowledge in that particular field.
A coach will help you achieve behavioural transformations, unlocking your potential and moving you forward in life – not just in a specific field! A coach will help you turn any unresourceful behaviour into a resourceful strength.
How much time commitment is required?
It is up to you. As your coach, my aim is to make you self sufficient so as our coaching relationship progresses, the time committment reduces … because I will teach you to self coach. Remember – the resources we need are right here inside us! My job is done once I have shown you how to connect with yours.
If I need a coach, does it mean there is something wrong with me?
It definitely does not! At various times in life, we feel stuck. A coach will help you shine the torch, so you can see the way forward. In fact coaches help successful people achieve even greater heights. Coaches in life are no different to coaches in basketball or soccer! We help you sharpen the skills you already possess, by showing you the right technique.
How do I start?
We begin with an obligation-free meeting, to get to know each other. We will set goals and agree to success measures. These measures are important to track your transformational journey.
